Minutes of the February 11, 2006 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob, KA0VNB at 9:00AM.
• Those members in attendance introduced themselves.
• Last month minutes were unavailable.
• Berry, N0OYM presented the treasurer's report.
• Rob, KA0VNB gave a report of the Boy Scouts merit badge activities on January 28th. The next merit badge activity is scheduled for February 25th.
• Rob, KA0VNB and Berry, N0OYM provided an ARES update:
  • Next Face to Face meeting is scheduled for February 25th @ 1:00PM at the Windsor Fire Station.
  • NWS Spotter Training is scheduled for May 6th.
  • Six meetings are planned for the year: Jan., Feb., Mar., Apr. (maybe), Sep., and Oct. All meetings are scheduled for the fourth Saturday of the month.
  • Guess speakers may appear at some of the meetings
• The new 2 meter repeater was sent to Hamtronics for repair.
• Cliff, W0ITD provided:
  • An update on the new Red Cross Building.
  • The Salvation Army may have a space available for club meetings.
  • Suggested that the first clear day, the club should get the antennas down from the old Red Cross building.
  • More salvage equipment may be available for the club's fund raising efforts.
  • Three tables were reserved for the club for the ARA Swapfest.
