Minutes of the May 13, 2006 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Stan, K0KZA at 9:02AM.
• The minutes from last month's meeting was approved.
• Berry, N0OYM provided the treasurer's report.
• Mike, KC0FNE offered a battery charger and batteries as payment of the two radios that he purchased from the club. This proposed payment was accepted by the membership present.
• George, WD0GNE and Berry, N0OYM provide:
  • A status report of the new repeater.
  • George, Berry, and Mike plan on installing the battery charger, batteries, and the new repeater on Saturday, May 20.
  • We are looking for a omni-directional UHF antenna. OJ, K0OJ offered an UHF antenna.
  • George recommended that a group of interested members to start work on the other Hamtronics repeater.
• The membership present decided to cancel the June 10 regular meeting due to the ARRL's Ham Convention will be taking place on that weekend.
• The membership present selected the current club officers, Rob, KA0VNB, Stan K0KZA, and Berry, N0OYM to serve on the election committee.
• Old business:
  • Jon, AB0WP is asking for help in cutting down the bulk steel that the club received from Empire Dispatch. Contact John if you can help.
• New Business: none.
• Bill, W0AVH indicated that the Sunday night nets are going well.
• Cliff, W0ITD has 1 1/4" hardline connectors available for purchase at $15/each.
• Ted, W0HLJ installed a grounding system at the repeater site.
• Win, K8GYC indicated that the autopatch on the 2 meter repeater was not working and asked that the autopatch be check out. Berry, N0OYM will look into it.
• Cliff, W0ITD has about 8 ARRL Handbooks available for members.
• Meeting adjourned at 9:41AM.
