Minutes of the January 13, 2007 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society
- Meeting called to order by Rob, KA0VNB at 9:00 AM
- Minutes from last meeting approved with correction to Mike and Cliff’s call signs. Mike’s call sign is KC0FNE and Cliff’s is W0ITD
- Berry, N0OYM provided the treasury’s report
- Berry, N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
- New repeater on air- when took to align, found that it was running at low power. Currently unable to access repeater due to weather issues.
- IRLP, EchoLink and the 440 repeater are up and running
- Heater temperature is as low as possible at the repeater site in and effort to reduce electrical usage. Will turn heater off when next gain access to the repeater site.
- Rob, KA0VNB-still working on getting J poles up at the old Red Cross Building. Project is currently on hold due to weather
- The club did not receive an invitation from the Boy Scouts to participate in the Merit Badge University event. Radio badge is not being offered.
- Ron, KA0VNB, received a letter from the Colorado Council of Amateur Radio Clubs giving the club the option to renew membership
- Mike, KC0FNE, motioned to renew the clubs membership. Motion was approved.
- New repeater maps are available at HRO for $3.00 and can be mail ordered as well as purchased at the store.
- Club has received permission from the Fire Department to use the building that we currently hold the meetings in for future meetings.
- New business
- Swap meet weekend of Jan 20th. Cliff, W0ITD, plans to set up a table.
- Ham fest at Lincoln Center in Ft Collins on Jan 20th and on Feb 11th at the Adams, County Fairgrounds.
- Mike KC0FNE and Rob KA0VNB are having difficulty with Echolink. Berry N0OYM, will take a look at the setups
