Minutes of the May 12, 2007 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:13 am
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Berry N0OYM provided the treasury’s report
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:

• Meter for repeater site is being read on or around the 15th of every month. Electricity use is steady
• Stan K0KZA indicated that the cabinet for the new repeater is ready to go.

• Old Business:

• Rob KA0VNB- Repeater is interfering with repeater in Denver. May need to go and look at repeater for spurious signal.
• Mike KC0FNE- Ft Collins marathon went well. All positions were filled and received compliments from people at the race.
• Rob KA0NVB- Next hamfests are June 9 and August 19. No one from WARS attended the Co Council of Amatuer Radio Clubs meeting.  

• New Business:

• Ted WA0HLJ- Club should consider purchasing the 440 repeater from Ginny Baker, changing the call. Motion to pursue making offer, motion approved.
• Heather KC0SYH- Club should make $100 donation to Mended Hearts in memory of Cliff Baker. Motion made and passed.
• Mike KC0FNE- should a board member be chosen to replace Cliff. Elections will be held in July, can do it at that time.
• Rob KA0VNB- suggested putting announcements of club meeting in local paper.
• Mike KC0FNE- suggested that club do more activities to generate interest in the club. He has backed off the school visits for the time being.
