Minutes of the June 9, 2007 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:08 am
• Minutes from last meeting approved with correction
• Elections are held in July rather than June
• Berry N0OYM provided the treasury’s report
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:

• Stan K0KZA indicated that the cabinet is ready, are working on getting it to the site.
• Electricity use is steady

• Old Business:

• Rob KA0VNB- Have not heard anything more about interference with Denver repeater. Maybe an issued with the transmit signal on 147.60 or with Denver receiving.
• Rob KA0VNB- Have not talked anymore with Ginny about buying Cliff’s repeater, will contact her.
• Rob KA0NVB- New board member will be elected in July- anyone interested should contact the club.
• Rob KA0VNB- Still looking into announcing club meetings in local paper.

• New Business:

• Ted WA0HLJ- Motion to waive this year’s dues for currently paid members. Motion discussed and tabled.
• Win K8GYC- Discussed whether the phone patch is needed as it is not used. Also discussed getting a new 2M repeater for the club as current repeater tends to be unreliable and noisy.
• Discussed ways to fix issues with current repeater such as a cabinet for the repeater and double shielded coax cable.
• OJ- K0OJ- Testing this afternoon
• Dues and due in July and Elections will take place during July club meeting.
• Win K8GYC- Discussed giving information about club at testing sessions to attract more members.
• Rob KA0VNB- Call for more ideas on how to attract new members.
