Minutes of the August 11, 2007 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:08 am
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Berry N0OYM provided the treasury’s report
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:

• Cabinet is ready, are working on getting it to the site.
• Both repeaters are up and running
• Have not heard anything else from Denver club regarding interference. Gave report to Denver club president about putting on notch filter until repeater can be realigned.

• Old Business:

• Berry NO0YM will send out reminders to club members that have not renewed.
• Rob KA0VNB- Mike KC0FNE is considering moving to South Dakota and will return AIMS equipment if he does move. Will need to discuss storage and/or donation options.
• Denver Ham Fest August 19 at Jefferson Co Fairgrounds. Barcfest September 23 at Boulder Co Fairgrounds.
• Berry N0OYM- came across manual for old repeater. Was suggested that a copy be made to be kept at the repeater site

• New Business:

• Berry N0OYM brought mock up of business card that could be printed out and given at testing sessions.
• Need time and location of meeting. Fire department is willing to allow the club to continue meeting at the present site.
• Need indication that the IRLP/Echolink is open
• Rob KA0VNB- detailed article in current QST magazine about DStar-may be useful for alleviating communications issues
• Win K8GYC- Would the club be able to use the Fire Station for emergency communications?
• Does not have auxiliary power or the needed setup
• Bill W0AVH- Will start running the net again at 8pm
• If interesting in doing anything for Jamboree, stop by scout office
