Minutes of the November 10, 2007 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society
- Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:05
- Welcome new members Gary Petty N9GP and Bill Richardson KC0ZSY
- Minutes from last meeting approved
- Berry N0OYM provided the treasury’s report
- Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
- 2M up and running-slight issue with final amp causing noise until it warms up
- 440 up and running
- Rob KA0VNB mentioned that Ginny wants to donate the repeater to the club-need to get paperwork for transfer
- Have not heard from Denver Radio Club since new repeater has been up and running
- No further word from Stan about cabinet, repeater is running OK and may not need cabinet.
- Ginny would like to sell some of Cliff’s antennas and equipment. If someone gets to the NCRC meeting, may want to make mention of this.
- Berry N0OYM presented 2nd draft of business cards for club. Should give some to OJ for testing sessions and to Pete at Radio Shack.
- Mike KC0FNE asked if the battery is charged. Berry indicated that it is
- Ginny has some solar panels and duplexers that she wants to get rid of. Motion approved to form a group to look at equipment and negotiate price. Mike KC0FNE and Bill W0AVH will do this.
- Rob KA0VNB- ARES and other volunteer agencies will be conducting mass inoculation exercise on Nov 17th.
- New Business:
- David W0EDW runs a net for those interested in UHF/VHF. Can get information from Rocky Mountain VHF Plus website
- Mike KC0FNE has acquired 2 rack mounted 800 MHz/100 Watt power amps if anyone interested if anyone is interested.
