Minutes of the June 14, 2008 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:08
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Correction of minutes from 05-10-08
•  Denver Ham Radio Fest most likely on a weekend.
• Berry N0OYM-Treasurers report
• Club dues are due in July
• Elections for Club officers will be held in July
• Ted WA0HLJ motioned that a mailing be sent to club members regarding elections-motion passed.
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:

• 2 meter, 440, IRLP and EchoLink are all down due to damage sustained to the repeater site during the May 22, 2008 Greeley/Windsor tornado.
• Discussed options for replacing/repairing equipment that was lost and damaged. Ted WA0HLJ, Berry N0OYM and Stan K0KZA will form committee to assess equipment. Motion was made to give committee permission to purchase duplexers-motion passed
• May be able to set up repeater at fire station on a temporary basis.

• Rob KA0VNB- Events
• Weather spotter training successful. 10-12 attended.
• About 16 people came to Ft Collins Marathon-were able to cover all positions.
• MS150 Bike Race June 28
• August 12- Denver Radio Club Ham Fest
• September 28-BARC fest
• Stan K0KZA donated copper underground power lines to Rob and Bud Stanley
• Berry N0OYM suggested that we continue to send site rent to Bud Stanley.

• New Business:

• Win K8GYC suggested that the club help Ft Collins get 2585 up. They were going to have someone come out.
• David W0EDW indicated that can use other modes on 2M band while repeater is down.
