Minutes of the August 9, 2008 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society
- Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:06am
- Around the room introductions
- Minutes from last meeting approved with corrections
- Club “Jester”- Rick Hubbard
- There are 3 open slots for board of directors
- Berry N0OYM-Treasurers report
- Presented information on TXRX duplexers that were purchased
- Discussed options for cabling, antennas and power at repeater site
- Berry talked with Rob and Bud Stanley. The club’s antennas will be between the 75 and 100 foot point on tower.
- Rob KA0VNB motioned to allow Berry N0OYM to research and purchase cable in the $300 range. Motion passed
- Berry mentioned that need standoff for antenna. Motion to research/purchase. Passed if standoff is $200 dollars or less, will need to check with club if over $200.
- Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
- 2M is put back together, working on integrating it and 440 with controller.
