Minutes of the October 11, 2008 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:15am
• Introductions around the room-what projects are you working on?
• Berry N0OYM-Treasurers report
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
• Rob KA0VNB, Berry N0OYM and Mike KC0FNE went to the repeater site last month after meeting and got 14y repeater, antenna, cans and cable installed.
• There are currently issues with the audio coming out of the repeater- receiver board may be going out.
• Squelch was tightened on repeater to help get rid of noise on current repeater
• Individuals have expressed desire to get new repeater for site, will cost approximately $2,000.
• Discussed options for finding and financing new repeater or repairing old repeater. Berry N0OYM, Ted WA0HLJ, and Stan K0KZA will form committee and research options for repeater.
