Minutes of the November 8, 2008 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:00 am
• Introductions around the room
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Correction- 147 meter repeater was installed
• Berry N0OYM- Treasurer’s report
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
• 2M repeater is up- has occasional squawk
• 440 offline
• IRLP up
• Will be finalizing 440 and linking radio cables.
• Will work on controller board for current repeater

• Old Business:  
• Rob KA0VNB- Rob Selby has repeater in garage that wants to get rid of. Discussed and club is not interested
• Ted  WA0HLJ- backup repeater is assembled and ready
• Discussed options for getting backup repeater running. Will test to see if works and go from there. Tech committee will take it out to site and test when have good weather and availability of members
• Discussed options for new repeater. Motion for new repeater passed
• Discussed what brand/type to buy
• Will get specs/prices on repeaters and present to club

• New Business:
• Bill W0AVH- Scouts want to do radio merit badge in January if anyone interested in helping out.
