Minutes of the December 13, 2008 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:15am
• Introductions around the room
• Minutes from last meeting approved
• Berry N0OYM- Treasurer’s report
• Berry N0OYM provided a report of the repeaters:
• 2M repeater is up
• 440 offline
• IRLP up
• New controller
• Firmware updates done
• Cables made for 440 repeater and 440 link
• Repeater modified to work with new controller
• 2M not hooked up yet
• Need coax for 440 repeater to put antenna up
• Discussed where to put beam antenna for 440 on tower. Motion for approval to purchase 170ft of cable and antenna for 440. Motion approved

• Old Business:  
• Still researching options for new repeater
• Berry N0OYM- can also replace damaged exciter and receiver boards in the current repeater
• Dave W0EDW has some tubes that he is selling and will use the profits to help with the cost of repairing the repeater
• Motion to replace boards-approved
• Berry N0OYM will also work on getting controller ready for repaired repeater
