Minutes of the September 12, 2009 meeting of the Weld Amateur Radio Society

• Meeting called to order by Rob KA0VNB at 9:05
• Rob KA0VNB made announcement that he is moving to China at the end of the month.
• Willie W5WIW will become club president, will take possession of crank tower and club computer
• Introductions around the room
• Minutes from last meeting approved
•  Treasurer’s report Berry N0OYM
• Repeater report Berry N0OYM
• Was able to look at 2M repeater, exciter was over driving power transistor
• 440 repeater is still with Berry-planned to put it up at repeater site same weekend as meeting
• IRLP linking currently down
• Dave W0EDW- may be some malicious interference going on-people are keying repeater but not talking

• Old Business:  
• Berry N0OYM- got power amp from Dave W0EDW to use as backup on 2M repeater
• Dave W0EDW also has old repeater from NCARC and doesn’t know if they want to charge club for it. He offered to cover it if they do want to charge.

• New Business:
• Rob KA0VNB- Ft Collins Marathon for muscular dystrophy had about 12 hams participating
• Willie W5WIW- would like to see cooperation between the Greeley and Ft Collins clubs. Ft Collins club will have picnic at Boyd Lake Aug 19th
• Rob KA0VNB- made suggestion to put announcements about club meeting in the Greeley Tribune
• Dave W0EDW- got email from OJ with video from 14er. Can look it up on YouTube if want to see it. Hopes to get information on remotes
• Willie W5WIW- If anyone knows about people who can give presentations, please let Willie know.

• Sept 27 BARC Fest at Boulder County Fairgrounds
• NCARC meetings held at Fireside in Windsor 3rd Sat of every month

• Rob KA0VNB- anyone who wants some of the equipment he brought can take it. Donations in exchange for equipment go to the club

• Meeting adjourned 9:45. Next meeting is October 10th at 9am at the Fire Station.
